Dr. Jasem Mohammad Malek while presenting a sketch of a caricatural relationship between married couples
The preparations: why this topic?
Because we have noticed that there are generally two perspectives:
One considers marriage as a source of problems, such as communication, social and financial problems and they blame each other. So pessimism dominates the perspective of marital life, and they have either arranged to get married or afraid of doing so.
The other perspective, including few today, considers marriage as a romantic relationship; and that it's the meeting of the two lovers breaking all obstacles that come in the way and get married without real preparation.
A lot of young people get married but they are not aware of the responsibilities’ of this new life, therefore, they need to be set up and trained.

Sending letters to trainees…
A form that outlines the trainees' objective.
Setting posters contains "values, some verses of Quran concerning marriage, sayings, general criteria for choosing life partner, and the objectives of the course".
The objective:
To prepare those who will get married, by understanding that marriage means love, tranquility, friendship, compassion, and all the divine meanings. But also means responsibilities, how to manage obstacles, and to preserve mankind.

The advantage:
  • Learning how to communicate with the other. Knowing the psychological structure of the man and the woman, as well as, acquiring the skills that help us organize this marriage properly.
  • How to establish emotional stability with the other through a set of values and behavior that help everyone facing the critical situations with the other.
  • Knowing the main criteria for choosing life partner… there are general and private criteria that get along with the personality of the other.
Towards the application of Accelerated Learning:
The linking stage:
Starting with Andalusian music, trainer Abdel Fattah Rawan has presented the positive perspective of marriage, including trainees’ positive suggestions in order to attract their attention and evoke their thinking concerning the subject.
This was followed by a sketch of a caricatural relationship between a married couple, presented by trainer DR. Jasem and trainer Saliha Al-taleb.

The presentation:
Trainer Rabi'a presented a set of good characteristics and values, and she reminded that marriage is an institution of a couple who are its decision-makers. This institution undergoes many positive and negative experiences, but it's important to know how to manage it and how to deal with it.

The exercise:
Trainees have been divided into groups. Each group takes a role either a husband or a wife, and then they present some situations of life, positive or negatives, as they choose.
Later, these situations will be analyzed and discussed among the trainees in order to enrich participations and interaction through which they reflect their perspectives concerning marriage and the other part.
Trainees write down their opinions and participation, and then compare it with the content of the posters in the class either to support or correct their ideas.

Playing the roles of the husband or the wife by the trainees reflect the spontaneous representations of beliefs and concepts that are deeply rooted in the trainees' mind and their attitude towards the subject.
Whereas, discussing and writing their perspectives aim to encourage team-work, exchanging experiences and information, at the same time, it's for evoking all their senses (visual, auditory, and the sensory ones).
The aim of the comparison with the contents of the posters, which contain sayings, verses of Quran, and the general criteria for choosing life partner, is to expand trainees’ awareness of the subject and for acquiring new concepts and skills from which r better behavior results.

The measurement of Performance and the feedback:
This an activity done by the trainees: the train of life, there are boxes all over the room that contain cards of questions and answers ( about the criteria for choosing the partner, about the psychological structure of the man and the woman and their needs, and about communication skills in specific situations…) the train, represented by the trainees, is passing across stations, represented by the boxes, where it stops in each station… and some passengers get off, open the box, and read the questions to his colleagues in order to answer them. The train continues its way to stop in other stations.
